The inadvertent inventor of “daisy dukes”, Catherin Bach is renowned for her breakout role in the original Dukes of Hazzard. In the 80’s she was glamorised and idolised for her beautiful looks, as well as legs that many people wished they had. She was often the centerfold in popular magazines. Bach’s private life was the center of attention during this time as well, with some reporting that her legs were insured for a six figure sum at one point.

Although she hasn’t bagged too many roles in the second half of her career, she still lands guest spots playing a typecast figure related to what people know her as. One of the biggest challenges for an actor is to break out of the mold they were cast into, and it’s sad to say that Bach hasn’t quite been able to do so. She started her own jewelry line as a different project, which likely brought her a different kind of fulfilment and joy to what the lights of Hollywood might offer.
