From ‘Teen Idol’ to ‘Terminator 2’, the actor gained universal acclaim and stole the hearts of many fans in the process. He even went as far as to branch out into the music industry, which saw a little bit of success in the Japanese market, but didn’t really do much in the rest of the world.

As is the unfortunate case with so many young celebrities, Furlong ended up falling into trouble with alcohol and drugs. This led to the decline of his career, partly because of disrupting rehab stints which didn’t help his reputation. As the photo suggests, the long term effects of these were not good for his appearance. Many people would consider him somewhat unrecognisable these days. Thankfully, he seems to be doing much better these days, leading a sober life.
