Kathleen Turner was one of the biggest stars of the 1980’s, bagging roles in some of the most popular movies of the entire decade. It wasn’t only her incredible looks that got her further in the industry. She is an incredibly talented actress, and all her hard work was eventually recognised by the Academy Awards and Golden Globes. Considering this alongside her general star power, there weren’t many roles in the late 1980’s that she would have been turned down for.

It’s unfair to expect that anybody should be considered at their youthful best for their entire lives. Age has taken its toll on Turner’s looks, but not for the reasons you might think. Rheumatoid arthritis changed her life in a major way, and the medications affected her appearance. Kathleen has since appeared in hit shows like Friends and others, and continues to be a person everybody takes note of when she enters a room. Long live acting queen Kathleen!
